What a bunch of spineless , gutless people. They allow the bombing to change their countries elections. They allowed the terrorists to bomb their people, because their government stood tough on terrorism. Then they get rid of that government.

Elections are the will of the people, who could argue with what people choose? Say Bush gets re-elected, wouldn't you expect the French public to say we are a bunch of idiots? Would you care? Exactly what the Spanish people would say to anyone that criticizes their choice of government don't you think?

Excellent point Bill the fact that the election was obviously influenced by an act of terror has no bearing.

Just what the world needs more socialism, it is such an efficent form of government. The beauracracies are so efficient that the last time a major medical or technological breakthrough originated in one was in Kennedy's era.

If you cannot see the difference between us and France woe is you.

The socialists were down 10% before the attacks happened.

Then they bomb them because they side with the US so the Spanish people say "you see we shouldn't side with them". They vote out the party that showed some guts and elect the fearful socialists. And of course the socialists 1st move is to get out of Iraq.

BTW, do you think Kerry even knew that Spain had troops in the USA unilateral invasion of Iraq?

SP,

You reminded me why I said I should leave this forum. I saw so many egregious errors in fact posted here, but I forgot that facts don't matter in political debate. Still though I cannot believe ANYONE in this country could have the nerve to question the will of the voters. Yes events happened and influenced the decision of the voters, but so what? If Bush wins couldn't people say Al Qaeda influenced our election too? If elections are fair and cleanly contested, how can anyone possibly argue with the will of the voters? I can just imagine our founding fathers rolling in their graves at the thought of people finding fault with the will of the voters.

Ok, on that note I really am gone. If you guys want to stretch the truth, hell make up facts...go right ahead

Bill the socialists almost bankrupted the country ten yrs ago and were trailing in the polls.

It is just stupid to suggest that whoever blew up the trains didn't influence the election and in so doing the world's resolve to combat terrorism.

To some how offer praise as that is the will of the people is ignorant even by your modest standards.
